ACFI Assistant

About the role: 

Calvary currently has an opportunity for a hard working ACFI Assistant to join our team at Calvary The Regent, located in Mount Waverly - a 80 bed residential aged care home.

What you will bring:

  • Be a Endorsed Enrolled Nurse or PCW
  • Working with the homes Clinical Care Coordinator and Senior Funding Business Partner
  • The ability to participate in all aspects of ACFI administration, assessment, documentation and submission
  • Have experience in residential care for the elderly and have a comprehensive understanding of the ACFI Funding process
  • Possess knowledge of and ability to implement the regulations and requirements affecting aged care, in particular the ACFI Funding Instrument
  • High level of planning, organisation and prioritisation skills

 Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Providing instruction and guidance to all staff to ensure compliance with Residential Aged Care Standards, in line with Best Practice and as required for the ACFI process
  • Evaluating interventions and documentation
  • Admissions - Ensuring there is a full nursing assessment and that these assessments link with the development of the residents interim and ongoing nursing care plan especially as related to directives for ACFI lodging
  • Helping the facility staff identify ACFI category increases that may be available for lodging at either voluntary or mandatory review/expiry times
  • Ensure all appraisal deadlines are met
